Well, you can't drink and drive so you might as well do something when you're drinking!

I started this page on 4/22/01 as a way for my kids to watch, identify and record the different birds that come to our humble eastern Iowa webcam bird feeders. Hopefully they will learn something in the process and appreciate the interesting hobby of bird watching as I did when I was a kid (I wish they had webcams back then :-).

We switch our X-10 cameras between two feeders, one facing NE and the other facing SW. If you find this page useful, support our sponsors or donate to Mr. Goodbeer's Birdcam. The funds will be used to maintain/upgrade the feeders, webcam hardware and software and to further the kids education. My kids also enjoy Space and Astronomy
